LFCTX
LFCTX enjoyed a presentation from Anna Jackson, LFTX board member, on Motivation and Adaptability and received a tool to help implement the learning with their staff. Mark your calendars for Friday, January 13, 2023, for the next LFCTX meeting. Fort Sam Houston ISD will host us (Face-to-Face) at ESC 20, from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm. Lizzy Perez (Dare to Lead facilitator and LFCTX Steering Committee member) will provide lunch. Invite your professional learning leader friends to join our affiliate and network with us. The November meeting was hosted by the Arlington ISD team, who embraced the Thanksgiving cooking theme to facilitate their Professional Learning Matrix presentation. For the '22-23 school year, LFSETX will be engaging in a book study using Elena Aguilar's newest book, The PD Book, 7 Habits that Transform Professional Development. At the November meeting, Dr. Nicole Zwahr, facilitated the discussion of Chapters 2 and 3

Tips and Tools for Professional Learning Series
Our current professional culture indicates that everyone is a professional learning facilitator. Everyone is a learning leader, from the classroom teacher to the principal, from the campus coach to the department lead. The Tips and Tools for Professional series is made up of three days of learning which build on concepts and skills to help you become an experienced designer of engaging professional learning. This course for professional learning leaders and facilitators will help you design and deliver highly effective adult learning in both in-person and virtual environments. Ensure your learning designs promote the highest levels of learning and retention and increase adult learners’ capacity to implement new learning. Expert Learning Forward Texas facilitators Trish Hinze and Terri Iles will lead live learning sessions.
